A collection of Clamps. #18: Customised Hand Screws.

Boy and Girls,

After watching a video by Taylor Tools regarding hand screws, I started a blog about it (the link introduces you to the Taylor Tools video), however, never completed it past the Introduction.

I was inspired by the video and purchased some hand screw kits

to make my own set(s).

This is the first project I posted to cover the 177.8mm, 203.2mm and 330.2mm clamps, but had to follow up with this project for the missing 279.4mm kit.

I also made a 9 part video of the construction for anyone wanting to waste part of their life… which are linked to in the above links.

I’ll refrain from repeating myself here and this thread will just serve as the pointer to my other threads that may have some informative details about this customised clamp in my arsenal.

I at one stage seriously thought about making some of these🤔, even bought some parts.
Never followed through though 🥴

Unfortunately you do need the kits... without the split threads and left handed threading, standard hardware just doesn't cut the mustard...
