Martin brought my “THE VOID” project to my attention the other day and, today, I was in my cabin and saw my “version 2”, created from a large needlepoint hoop, some leather, and some of my sacred goose feathers (that’s another story).
Just as with version 1, this Void has a crystal in the centre representing the possibility.
The hoop, which I was really fortunate to have found at a second-hand store for a really, really good price, was perfect for this project.
The leather is from a deer that Rick got while hunting and we always had the hides tanned so that we could use as much of the precious animal as possible.
The feathers are from a goose that turned back from the “v” flock and flew over Rick’s head just as I was giving a gratitude prayer, in the cabin, for the goose that gave its life to put food on our table. It was a bizarre story sharing as Rick told his story and I told mine, with the two merging together for a very sacred moment. This made my “The Void” even more meaningful.
This version of The Void was much easier to do that the first, I must say. But it’s still wood-based and it’s still my “bespoke creation”.
