Every year for Christmas, I make a little something for each place setting at our family dinner.
This year it is “Wally, the woodworking gnome”.
The Creation of Wally
I wanted to make a little gnome but I’m sure I won’t have time to make a dozen of them before Christmas, so I thought that I’d just make the hat and put it on an egg cup or something.
Searching Amazon, instead of egg cups, I found these really cute little mugs!
I crocheted a hat to fit the top.
Filled the jug with hot chocolate powder.
And, then, to make it Craftisian-worthy, I gathered some woodchips into a bundle and stuck it under his “arm”, the handle of the mug.
That’s one down and a dozen more to go. Each will end up being a little different, I’m sure, not only with changing the colour of the hat but Wally will probably be carrying a number of different woodworking items. We will see. - Debbie
