Finally got around to finishing the corn hole board set for my Son-In-Law. After mostly finishing them with the normal lines and designs, decided to try something different, so I sanded everything off. I had a camo jacket in the shop which gave me the idea. I wanted to give it a ( kind of ), jungle 3-D type affect. It has two base coats of dark forest green to start off. I collected six different kinds, and sizes of plastic leaves, and three different colors to use. I used all colors and leaves in different colors and positions in six different layers to give some of them more depth, which made it have a 3-D type affect. It was then sealed with poly satin finish. The legs fold up/down and are locked in either position with a big wing nut on the underside. The under side has three coats of shellac for a finish. The bags are out of duck cloth and filled with corn to the proper weight. Thanks to my wife for the sewing part. Everything on this set-up is to regulation rules. Believe it or not they DO have official measurements and weights etc. I put heavy duty handles on one side of each to make moving easier. They are made of 1/2 ply and 2X4s that I trimmed on the table saw to give crisp edges.
Switch over project.
