Entry Bench

My sister-in-law was chatting about how she was looking for a small bench to sit on to put on/take off her shoes/boots. So I  asked about style size etc., she sent me a small picture from a catalog and this is what we came up with.  Challenges on this project:  the splayed legs and getting a nice smooth exit cut for the through tenons, which was solved by double faced taping a spoil board on the exit side of the pieces.  It turned out wonderfully, and of course sister-in-law was delighted.
