Dining Room Buffet

I was privileged to build this serving buffet for good friends recently. It was a fun build in that the client & I worked together for many years and I was honored they asked me to build this and an entry table for them.  The biggest challenge was the 8' long miter on the front top edge.  A lot of biscuits and many clamps later it was done.  It was made from Ash, with twelve drawers and 6 doors.  The drawers were dovetailed front and miller doweled back and have traditional wood slides . The doors are touch latch and Blum hinges

Very nice build. The finish looks great. What did you use?
Very professional.

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

beautiful buffet dave. love the finish you used.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

That is a wonderful buffet. I like the layout with 2 rows of drawers, the finish choice and the overall styling. Great work!
Dave that is a great build!

How did you get the black finish?

Very complicated piece and it looks like it came out perfectly. The way you built this unit it should last long enough to be handed down and enjoyed for years. I don't like being negative, but I could never understand taking a beautiful build like this and then sanding off the corners and making it look old and uncared for. This is obviously just my opinion and I see so many projects being finished this way. I guess I just don't get it.
