this is a baseball display case i made for a coworker to showcase a commemorative bat his little league team gave him. its made of solid walnut with maple splines to reinforce the lid.the case is box jointed. the lid has a magnet catch with 1/8" plexiglass. size is 39"l x 6-1/2"w x 6"d. finish is my standard oil finish with a final coat of wax. pic's are  not the best, this was done about 8 years ago.

Nicely done.
Great place to mount it is by the front door for ready use on door to door salesmen, etc. LOL
Nice case.

I see you made this pre Rockler hockey puck finishing blocks.

steve-thanks. well i do love my coco but walnut is very much one of my favs also.

mike-thanks buddy. actually unless it's real hot i tend to keep it closed more due to being in an alley. too many opportunists shall i say scrounging for whatever they can find.

Nice build Pottz. I think the photos came out fine. Great shop. Like my friend once said. "A locked door keeps an honest man honest.  You could sell those. I'll bet there is a big demand for bat display cases.

James McIntyre

thanks james. yeah a lot of people want or need em but dont wanna pay for the quality. too many cheap ones available. i had also made a ball display case for his son.all the parents of the other players saw it and wanted one, until they found out what it would cost !

Nice looking timbers you used. Box joints look good. People like the nice stuff but don't like the nice price tag.
yep thats pretty much it.

As long as they were full of beans and the recipient manged 2 hearty farts after eating the content.
