cedar adirondack chair
Project Information
this adirondack chair was made from plans from (the barley harvest) wood is clear western red cedar,screwed and plugged.finish is penofin redwood oil.i used the redwood oil too darken the color.only made one because the wife being only 4'10.5" doesn't find these chairs to be comfortable. i lve em but can be a challenge for older people getting out of em.
working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment,somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

That is a beautiful chair bud, but please tell me it is on your indoor-outdoor carpet and not grass. I'm guessing those are fake plants also. ;-)

Funny thing: we vacationed in St. Pete Beach a couple years ago and they had oversized Adirondacks on the front lawn overlooking the beach.
She was very comfortable.

I'm not sure if you did it on purpose but I like the gradation of the back rest color. It looks cool.

That's why I scaled mine to be a little less reclined and changed the shape of the arms to fit the both of us. Makes it very easy to get out of the seat.

I knew the plants were real, but I really wasn't sure about the grass. Your space is so beautiful, if I were to come visit you might have to call the cops to get me to leave.

thanks guys. the cedar does vary from light to dark so i tried to make as nice a pattern as i could. altough after over a year now the color looks pretty much all the same. it was nice while it lasted.

Always liked this style of chair but can't get up from them with my new hip and bad knees. Great looking job on this one. Mike
