I carved this Welsh Love Spoon over the course of about 4 weeks in my hotel room, working on it two nights in any given week. It is made from Lindenwood and measures approximately 12 5/8" long. For those of you who missed it, I wrote a 5 part blog detailing what each element means and how I went about carving each part.  Carving a Welsh Love Spoon #1: Designing the Spoon - Craftisian

Thanks for looking.

What a cool down-time project!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Love it Andy and I’ll have to go back and re-read the blog series.  I know I thoroughly enjoyed it on LJs but it’s been a while.  Any of these elements so well executed are impressive on their own.  Putting them all together like this is just plain showing off!
Nice to see you here again. I like the spoon. I think I remember it from the past but it’s nice to see it here. Carving is one of the rabbit holes that I have avoided so far but you are making me want to try.

The early bird gets the worm but its the second mouse that gets the cheese.

I totally thought this was metal at first.  Superb carving, not a flaw in sight.

So what does one do with a Welsh Love Spoon?  No, dont answer that,  I dont think I want to know.

No Bees. No Honey. Bees Lives Matter

That is a wonderful carving, not a flaw in sight. I enjoyed following along in the blog. A very interesting story behind the spoon, learn something new. Well Done.

Super beautiful creation, great work. I followed the blog, thanks for the step by step instructions.
Great work.   Turned out really good.

Great work.   Looks good.

Neat background in the blog.  Looks like a challenging project.
I first "discovered" wood chains as a kid after seeing them at a Ripley's museum, even tried making one myself.

Some fine work!
This is so absolutely special.  You could easily have gotten any 16th century damsel you would have wanted!  Impressive!

That's an amazing example of chain and ball, etc., carving! I started a pair of locked hearts many years ago. Not enough patience for that, so what you did is to never be done by me.
