my ultimate router table

Project Information
well here is my latest shop makeover as many have said the wood shop is never done and thats deffinitly true for me. my former router table was a hand me down that my dad made 25 years ago, it worked for him but just wasnt right for me. everytime i would move the table all the drawers would fly open so that needed fixing. the new version is built basically the same as my assembly table, melamine cabinet with clear doug fir frame and drawer fronts. the top and fence are join-tech model cl12, no longer made. the router is a porter cable 6902 1-3/4 hp motor which has done a great job with no bogging down, for big jobs i have a shaper. the router lift is from jess em which i highly recommend, it is very precision made and smooth to operate. also have the jess em clear cut stock guides also very high quality. as you can see dust collection is from under the cabinet and through the fence so there is very little dust. tools and router bits are all organized and at my finger tips so bit changes are quick and easy. i think this is my final router table but who knows. well this was from several years ago and im already planning a bigger and badder version, so who knows 😎

Slick stand, looks very useful.

Main Street to the Mountains

Very nice! And mobile to boot!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

The dust collection is really cool! I should make a portable one.

No name noobie here

pottz,
Great router Table.  Very well set up and well organised.   Plenty of drawer space.
Well Done...It looks great!!!
I like the  light system as well.
Regards......Cliff.
WOW, this creation is phenomenal to say the least. Beautiful cabinet work, looks like all the mechanical aspects were thought out well - dust collection - lighting - adjustments - etc - two thumbs up!
Good looking and similar to mine.    My old Incra Jig does not have much for dust collection at the fence.
Very useful setup.    Nicely done.

Fine up grade Pottz. What type of fence system it that it looks like a hybrid of incra and the rear part looks  like the color of a Rockler part.

Smart looking tool P!

My table is similar, but I'm always leaving a drawer open and they get full of chips that elude the DC. Yours is looking a tad bit unused 🙄

I also have mine on casters, a requirement by law, but I hate "toeing" around to hit all the locks when I want it to not roll.
I might have to place them outboard where I can at least be stubbing my toes on them.
splint this was right after completion, the oil stain wasn't even dry yet ! trust me it's seen some miles !
