SMALL LIDDED BOXES

Greetings,
There was no particular plan in making these Boxes.  I just selected some bits and pieces of wood from my stack and fiddled about till I got some presentable round stock turned on the Lathe.
Parted shaped and hollowed and sanded.
Several coats of Danish Oil then waxed and hand Buffed.

Hi Eric.  Thank you.   They were great fun to make.
I have heaps of end grain stock which would be great for lidded Boxes and small bowls.
Bowls are best from side grain, but small end grain bowls would be good.
Great practice to develop some turning skills!!!!!

Thank you Mike.   A fun project.   They are great gifts for people.
Everyone seems to like a little lidded Box to put things in.

Hi Ron.   Thank you.   The Boxes were only 3 inches high for the largest one.
I must remember to put more detail in my description.

Hi YRTI,
Thank you.  It took many many coats of Danish Oil before the grain popped.  The wood just just drank it up.

Thank you Jim.  I am leaning back toward Danish Oil again.  It usually achieves a nice finish.
