Crystal Skull Vodka Puzzle

Gotta love a good challenge, and when this idea was brought to me I couldn't resist.

I had made a bottle lock up puzzle before, but here I wanted to do something different.

The tiny skull key on the top works a combination lock from the sides of the puzzle.  Once set correctly, the front disc will pull out and the lower walnut tab can be lifted up to pull out the 'tray' that locks the bottle in.

I learned that I shouldn't have shipped the bottle in the puzzle during shipping, yikes!  There was also the gained awareness that typically customs doesn't like it when you ship alcohol over the border, lol.

Thanks for looking guys!

That is cool Kel, I like following your boxes, they are always interesting. Well done.

Nice. I wonder if the bottle could have been lit up. Customs may not mind an empty bottle.
Hey thanks guys, ohhh, light it up, hmmm, a great idea!

It came out great. Was that the skull in the Indiana Jones movie?

It is always fun to see what you have created - Looks like this one was fun to build.
Thank James, ha, I wish!

Thanks Steve, building a nerf gun puzzle chest, still in my minds eye at the moment, haha.

I usually think I am a reasonably smart person.  That is until I spend 20 min trying to figure out a Kel Snake puzzle from his photos.  Then I give up and contemplate whether I should hide under my desk and eat paste.

Cool looking puzzle Kel, even if I can't figure out how it works.
Haha, thanks swirt, man, if it’s been too long since I built it, even I have to look up the solution.

The best part is there is a super hungry niche of deep pocket collectors that looooove this stuff, best selling wooden thing ever made!

Great job - as usual Kel!
