just a simple quick turning project. scratcher hardware from rockler. wood is walnut with a hook on the end to hang  up. i found the metal a little rough on the back though so had to do a little refining.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

nice turning.  use it carefully, no furrows down the back.

Ron

thanks ron, yeah it was pretty sharp on the skin even with a shirt on.

Nice little project. I could use one of those. Might be a good quickie…

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Nice work, Pottz!

Yeah, the Rockler back scratcher kit definitely needed some “refining” in my experience, too. My sweetie uses the all-wood one I made long ago, since the metal’s too hard on her skin.

May you have the day you deserve!

yeah this was a couple hours project start to finish.

Nice pottz.  Can’t beat it when you got that itch you can’t reach 😎
My wife could use one of those.

Dave, Yours looks like it could be one of those rakes used in a table top Zen garden.

Nice turning Pottz, one can get a good grip on it helps to dig into the back.

It really is a nice tool Pottz. At first glance I thought it was part of you BBQ  ensemble for itchy meat. Well I suppose it is. 8^{

I bought one at the Dollar Tree for $1.25  inflation.

Rockler designed these for Bears or itchy alligators.

James McIntyre

thanks guys. james the way it came probably would make a bear cry 🤣

Handle is great.  Claw not so much.

I found the best back scratcher was a long handled boar bristle brush. So there are some hairy guys who could comb their back hair with it....LOL...not me, too much northern European in me.
Next to that I back up to a tree with moderately rough bark (shirt on).
thanks tool, les very funny !

Nice! I'm using a cheap plastic one now but I'll get it when I visit Rockler next time for sure.

Years ago I stole my wife's wooden pronged, spaghetti picker upper thingy. Works great. Probably time to make a real one like yours though Pottz!
