I sold out of these at the last sale and had requests for more. I made 10 blanks but one had a small crack that ran through the center and it blew apart when I started to bore the center out.
The 2 on the left are Mesquite and the rest are pecan. I did the fractal burning on all of them in the demo I put on for a lot of the people in the park on Friday.

They are 2 1/8" diameter and about 6" long and finished with satin lacquer.

Cheers, Jim

Main Street to the Mountains

Cute little turnings, Jim!

May you have the day you deserve!

The fractal burning adds an interesting appearance.
Wow, did you demo the burning?
That is the coolest "draw" to a booth I can think of, all the kids will be grabbing Mom/Dad to come see! 😀

Looks like they'd be some fine tree ornaments for Christmas as well!
That’s really cool! It would be an interesting write up to see how you’re doing the fractal burning.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thank you all for the nice comments'

Hi Ivan. They sell good . I have 3 of these left.

Hi Bruce. I did a demo when burning all of these and also did a lot of wood for the on lookers.

Hi RyanGi. You can find how this is done by looking up fractal burning on You tube. I have a video there made when I discovered how good baking soda and vinegar work as the wetting agent. I use a microwave oven transformer but there are two types of transformers that are much safer. Mine was free and I made the electrodes very safe for me
