Natural Edge Picture Frame

I made this frame for a desert painting my wife bought from an artist in the park. It was requested to be natural looking so I use the edges from a pecan slab. The painting is 10" x 20".
The last shot is the frame with out the stain.

It is finished with red oak stain and clear satin lacquer.

Jim,

Good job.  I agree with Corlez, tough working with the irregular shape.

Very pretty

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Very nice, the perfect frame for that picture.
Thank you all for the nice comments.

Hi Danny and Dave... the  hard part was cutting the miters from the inside edge of the frame and not the outside. I could not use a stop to get  the pairs of sides to the exact same dimension like I usually do . Because of the different live edge shapes, it took some grinding and sanding of the corners to get them to match up all the way around.
