Lidded Chinaberry Urn

This is a small urn that I turned from a log that I was told was Chinaberry. I have never see it before and it turned out to have some outstanding grain pattern. The lid was made from a couple of discarded spigots from some bracelets and the top knob is black walnut.
The urn holds about a half cup of ashes- big enough for a small cat I would guess.

It is finished with clear lacquer

I have since seen the Chinaberry trees  in Tubac Arizona and brought home some of the berries. I was told we have one in our RV park but have not found it yet.

Jim.....Beautiful URN...  Nicely Turned.  The Chinaberry Wood has a nice Swirling Grain and the Black Walnut Top Knob sets it off nicely.
The clear varnish works well.

Purrrr-fection Jim!

I take it that you are keeping the chain saw sharp as you quest for your white whale in the RV park??
Thank you all for the nice comments. I'll be looking for more Chinaberry this winter.
