Guitar Pick Holder Box

I was asked if I could make a guitar shaped box to hold guitar picks and this is what I designed for that. It is made from one piece of teak wood. The lid pivots on a steel pin in the lower left corner and it snaps shut on two rare earth magnets in the top right corner of the box- one is in the body and one in the lid.
The lid will come off if pulled up to retract the pin that is fastened to the lid.
It is 7 1/2" long, 3" wide and 1" thick and finished with Danish oil and buffed and waxed. The logo was put on by Wayne with his CNC laser.

Coll job JJ.

Having access to the laser, would have been an extra detail to engrave 6 strings on the face.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nice, very unique. Bet this would generate a lot of orders if placed on one of the craft sales sites. πŸ‘
Wow, this is a great way to keep track of picks. Β

Really nicely done. A great gift idea.Β
Thank you for all the nice comments.
Hi Alex, I thought of lasering in the strings, frets andΒ  bridges but I did not want to over due the generosity of my neighbor , Wayne. That will be a project for me when I get my Laser up and running ( if I am smart enough to program the pattern.

Hi Tom. I'll be posting it on Pinterest...........Cheers, Jim

Sharp idea, I wouldn't have thought to make one like this. Lack of imagination I guess.Β
Thanks, Mike Β  I would not have thought of it if not asked to make it!! A guy in our park is making 10 of them without the necks on them.
