thats a cool looking base. i think your finish is perfect as is.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Nice,  I like the finish as well,  but it's hard to tell from pictures.

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.

Thanks all. Simple project really.

It's good to see you went for a base worthy of the top. Beautiful combination!
Great looking table. Good job on the Bowtie - Took me a couple seconds to find it. Excellent job,
I really like the looks of the design.  The artistic look of the base is awesome.   If you set a six pack on one end would it fall over, or is the base super heavy to keep it from tipping over?
Swirt,

Table is very stable. Base is heavy.

Excellent work and awesome reult Petey.
Thanks Ken.  I am redoing the finish after seeing the sun bounce off the finish and show how bad it looked.

Nice looking slab, makes for a great looking table. Good build Petey.
Really nice!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Ryan and George thank you.

Redoing the finish.  Should be done today.
