Jewelry Box for Granddaughter

I made this for my Granddaughter who was turning 8 that year.  It's made from Maple and Walnut using mitered edge construction with Walnut dovetail splines added for strength and aesthetics.  The bottom of the base is made from 1/4" plywood, and the pedestal feet are Walnut.  On the top face, I wood-burned her initials and the olive wreath.  The removable tray insert is also made from Maple using lap-joint construction.

Really nice!  A forever keepsake.

And looks like you're using Odie's Oil?  I started using that a while back, and really like the result, and ease of application

Nicely done!
