Cutting Board

It's a simple cutting board and I made it with hand tools as usual.
My challenge was to join each board as accurate as possible. Even though each board actually has a slightly different width, I call this a success.

I prefer no juice groove/handle so I'm happy with as is.
Now I'm kind of feeling like I want to try an end grain cutting board. Maybe one day.

Overall, it came to be a good hand plane practice project.

It's mesmerizing watching you work!

For a simple board it has a "look" with the subtle wood combination and grain, most excellent!
Nice work. If you can do this you can do an end grain board
Precise as usual very nice workmanship.

Ron

Splinter, thank you! I picked up cherry and birch just because they were on sale but I like the combination, too!!
Corelez, Thank you! but I just don't know how difficult to surface 10"x14" if it's end grain...
Ron, thank you:)

Nice work, YRTi! I think it’ll get even better looking as it ages, too.

May you have the day you deserve!

With your attention to detail and precision. If you align the parts good and flat there will be minimal flattening. Have any low angle planes?
Dave, Thank you! Yeah, I hope they get nice deep color!
Corelz, I don't have a low angle plane and I was wondering to get a western style one. I still need more research before my final decision as I have not much space for tools so, haha.
Steve, thank you as always:)

Or you can just send it to Pottz to run through the drum sander
Thanks, Mos! and yeah Corelz, that's a good idea, haha
