Plant stand

This was a quick project that I rush to finish like maybe 3 hours with a good part of 1x8 construction lumber.

It's nothing special but it's really fun to play with pine (if there are no knots)!
It's soft and easy to fabricate and I feel my tools are super high-end, haha.
and it was my first time using a self made spokeshave:)

I put SUNSHIELD WOOD CONDITIONER to finish.

Some more fine work YRTi!

Those plane shavings look to have only one side!
Thank you!

My plane looks like a good one but it was a gift from my friend and he told me it was only 6,500 JPYen ($40) there, haha. Oh but I'm about to upgrade it soon!!!

as usual my friend you make hand tool work look so easy ! but i know better !

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

That's a cute little plant stand! That shaving off the plane- you should sell such to shops to use for decorative ribbons!

It doesnt matter the price tag on the tool. When you get it to work like that with a shaving like that its just as good as a high dollar tool.
Pottz, thank you. It's actually easier than it looks...
Dark_Lightning, thank you! I wish I can sell them. My 30gal trash bin is always full!
Corelz, yes but first I need to use a high dollar tool to have the conclusion, haha.

Nicely done!  What are the general dimensions?
BB1, thank you. It's small. I think the top board is 7"x7" and the height is 8" including the top board thickness.

Maybe quick and simple but a fine piece of woodworking. That plane is working great, not only because it is pine.

Nicely done, as always.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Thank you Dutchy and RyanGi!
