Exacto knife
saw one of these in the last swap. clieb made one and let me know where he got the kit. it's from penn state. i bought a 3 pc starter set. this one is gun metal finish with desert ironwood. finish is several coats of gloss lacquer wet sanded with micro mesh.

That's pretty sharp! I should make some larger handles for mine, though I use them so seldom. That is mainly because of these sausage-sized fingers. I have a tough time with the Dockyard micro-chisels, but at least the handles are octagonal. I hold those in my finger tips.

splint-yes it had a cover. i lost the blade that came with it. when i was trying to insert it it popped off and well, you know what happens to small pieces that fall on a shop floor !

Neat kit... neat present... but, how practical are they?
Would you carry it around in your pocket outside the workshop... in the workshop, how easy is it to misplace?... unless you had a dozen for each corner (I have a dodecagon shaped shop).
I have the laser pointer, magnetic pickup, toolkit pen, stylus pen, rubber tipped pen and a few others I can't remember as I never use. Hell, my pocket would be so heavy it would rip my shirt off... oh yeah, ducks don't wear shirts.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
