Plywood Card Carousel

I'm in the process of making more 3 bin card carousels for customers in the park. Doug Scott dropped in and said "Have you ever made any from plywood". I hadn't so I whipped one up using 1/4" and 5/8" maple plywood that we get out of the big dumpster. The price is right!! It has a 3" bearing that is inset into the upper part about 3/16" deep to keep it from showing.

So this is  a 3 bin carousel that holds 4 decks on each side with the middle for discards. I got to use the new laser a bit on it, too. It is finished with spray satin enamel.

Nice looking card holder. 👍👍
Great use of the Plywood Jim,  The Maple Plywood is beautiful.

Very nicely constructed with the different thicknesses of Plywood.  I like the way the bearing is quietly hidden .

Nice card holder Jim. I wish I had a plywood dumpster near me. :-)
Nicely done!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

It looks great in plywood.
Nice call on the recessed bearing.
Thank you all for the nice comments. This one is to be a gift to Dick Wilson who was my mentor for wood turning early on but I can't reach him by phone to set  up a time to deliver it.

Nice work Jim. Love your creative ideas. Like GeorgeWest says...I too wish I had a plywood dumpster near me. Heck... let's make that any wood dumpster near me.
Also wish there was an avenue to join a club or such to sell stuff.
Hi Rick. That plywood we get is some of the best and it is free. I have made countless things out of it and take a bunch to Arizona every year for projects. This year I'm taking a plywood cabinet all lock mitered and ready to assemble in our shop down there.
I sold one of these carousels at the sale on Saturday. If they catch on up here, I may have to go into production. No one else makes them!! I have over 20 of them in Arizona now. People remember what they see at a show and come back next year looking for it. I had one lady just came to the show for a seam ripper and she bought my last one!
