Serving board and Cutting board

I’ve been working on a scratch build model using photos to scale the vehicle but I was getting edgy about the time (35+ hours so far) so the Smurfs suggested a couple of boards.
One Camphor Laurel serving board and a mixed recycled old Aussie hardwood cutting board.
Both finished with Kustom Creations step#1 50000 grit Food Grade Polish.
They’ll be sent as a gift to my cousin.

Great to hear someone speak Aussie (English) rather than charc... French!

Didn't know we were related...

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

When you say Aussie hardwood, you really mean granite right?

The centre red piece is RedGum.
I have no idea on the orangey coloured timber.
All the other is SpottedGum.

And yes all very hard, great for cutting boards.

Yes it’s come up a treat.
Camphor Laurel is a designated weed tree but woodworkers across the country love the colours and figure.

That's interesting. Is it a small tree?

It’s a relatively fast growing tree.
I know of one not far from here at 50foot high with a trunk base at about 4foot diameter.

Thanks for the added information.  Even if not a desired tree, the wood sure looks  beautiful.
