"Offcuts awaiting a Project" sorted - Serving Tray

Papa Smurf and Handy Smurf were getting annoyed at me researching my next project and instead I make something.
As I’d just sorted and cleaned up the “offcuts awaiting a project” bin; a glue up to make a small serving tray.
I finished it with Kustom Grit Step #1 50000 Grit Food Grade Polish.
It’ll either be a gift or fundraiser for the local community club.

Good to see someone else that can't spell charcuterie and calls it what it is... a serving tray (or cutting board}!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Nicely done!  I need to do some projects like this to use up some of my "extra" pieces (I save far too much!).
I still can't even pronounce "charcuterie"

Nice look and size ACC, something that can be left out and not have to be kept hidden.

Appears Papa Smurf is still micro managing but things are getting done!
I need to do something with all my cutoffs to. Maybe that’s the way to go?

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

If I started turning my cutoffs into projects, I’d probably never finish and have time to make new cutoffs. 🤡
I've been using cutoffs to mostly make coasters, but since all the cuttoffs are different sizes, I'll do the glueup, then bandsaw off coaster slabs, but then there are the cutoffs left over from that. On a pure piece count, I'll end up with more cutoffs than I had to begin with.
I still had some wood that Gr8 Hunter wanted to make 3 spice racks.  But he didn't come and get it, so if you're in the area Crowie this is ready for you.

Yes indeed I'm joking Peter. You made a nice cutting board.

very nice Crowie!!

Mike

But he didn't come and get it
Pure laziness!

A cheap bus ticket there and since he is a skilled woodworker he could have built a boat from some of the cutoffs and sailed back to Penn!

 🤠

  Nice rustic board.

I still can't even pronounce "charcuterie"

It is my belief the only people who can, frequent cocktail parties where the common pose is with their pinkies pointing upward. Us knuckle draggers who make them do like to call them serving boards and such, terms that actually describe them.

Great idea for project extra wood, as my mother always said: "Waste not, want not."
My mother always said "What the 'ell did you just do?"
Your mother sounds a lot sweeter 🤠

Absolutely not true!  I call it a charcuterie and I don’t pinkie pose when I am going to cocktail parties.  . . Wait, did I just say I go to cocktail 🍸 parties

Kidding aside, nice charcuterie serving tray.
charcuterie  ? that's something to do with a cup of tea is it not !
forget the pinkie it needs a thumb hole to be able to wrangle a load of goodies
Like a pork sanga for the LBDs afternoon tea no doubt somebody will come up with a w@nk word for a wine cask soon!

Ignore the blue guys you did an excellent job on it.

Regards Rob

Ok...Smurfs are ready...
