Old work from the 2010 time period

Splint got me looking back at some of my old stuff.  This is all some work I did for one client.
Not going to say much about them but would be glad to answer any questions if you have any.

The lead picture is of the bar area., here are some more of them.(Pictures were taken years later.)

I added panels around some columns and an entry wall.

Here is a study Office

In the kitchen I basically wrapped the existing Island with the panels.

Here is the wall unit I showed Splint in my other project post.
I can't (or won't) take credit for the lamps the client picked out,  but as long as they're happy, Me too.

Ended up changing the TV and turning the space below into drawers.  Came out so so,  but there were't a lot of options.
(Handles hadn't come in yet, but were put on the rest of the drawers)

So your skills haven't improved in 14 years? I'd say you achieved mastery back then and have hit the ceiling of perfection!

Amazed at what just paneling over old installations (kitchen island) can do to make it look high end like everything else. Wood room is just stunning! The burl strip fits right in. I was thinking my 3-flute columns over my shelf pullouts were a bit plain, but now I know they have the Bently signature style so I can brag! 🤠

The styled figuring at the tops of the kitchen island columns (plinths?), did you carve those or are they accessory items?

Is there access behind the tv set in the sitting room?
Skill!
you do very nice work GR8 JOB 😍😎👍

Bently,
Wow! This is right up there with how my husband outfitted his hunting stand . . . NOT!

The study office with the panelled  doors and pediment is out of this world. That's the type of work I would love to be doing.
I know in the past you've said most of your work comes from repeat business and referrals and you can see why.
This is so impressive - that's a ton of work there. And all top notch!
i remember these. amazing quality work bent.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Son will be building a new house next year and we are considering something like the office.  I've done a couple of entertainment centers and am ready for a higher challenge.

Will send him a copy of the photos so he can drool..........

Wow...that must have taken every bit of the year in 2010 and maybe a few other years!!!

Splint, skills might have gotten a little better,  if nothing else I have gained experience (both good and bad)

I started my first shop with a partner in 1985.  Dissolved that, and re-opened a new shop in 1992.  I did mostly commercial work out of 5000' building, with normally 6-8 guys.  We mostly did retail store work, building out the store fronts, interior displays, cash counters and whatever other weird stuff they came up with.  Have done store work in NY, Houston, Georgia, AZ, a bunch in Cal,  and in many of the malls here in Vegas.  I closed that shop in 2006, in which I have been a one man band ever since. I try to only post stuff I have made after 2006,  but I'm sure I've slipped a few in from before.  Probably TMI, sorry.   I have stories and pictures I could share for days upon days.

The burl in the wood room I believe is a faux painted wall.  I wish it was burl now that I look at it,  would have been a nice touch.
No carving from me,  store bought plinths. I'm a short cut kind of guy. yes,  extra space behind TV.

Thanks everybody else, I appreciate it.

Pottz,  I'm sure there are a lot of previous pictures I have posted on other sites you may have visited before.
Honestly, I rarely even think of that site, let alone go there to read anything. The last times I have been just reassures me that it's a waste of time.

Thanks Jim,  Most of the work was done a little at a time,  probably over a few years.

Hi end work. Looks like $$$$$.
I'll chime in to.  That is excellent work!

Thanks for sharing your projects and the background.  Although my projects are much smaller scale (and quality!), I enjoy picking up techniques and ideas.  That's what I most appreciate from this site - the sharing of knowledge, and help when I'm working through one of my builds.
Nice examples of your skills. Better than the latest melamine cabin.

Just breath taking.  I look at all of that and makes me want to take up another hobby because I can never approach your level. Thanks for sharing.
