Cribbage Board w/Drawer

I always get asked if I have any cribbage boards at craft shows. I have made a few but had none in stock so I made this one for the fall show. It is  a 2 player board and made from Mesquite. It has a drawer that slides on  2 rails and locks in the back with 2 magnets. It is 1/5/8" x 6 1/4"  x 11 1/2" and finished with Danish oil and buffed and waxed . It comes with the deck of cards and 6 steel pegs.

Cheers, Jim

Mr. Mesquite!

Nice one Jim.

Looks like you stack two boards? Certainly would make the tray cutout easier. Is that tray slot wedge shaped?

I'd go crazy drilling all those holes. Do you use a template or just a printout with the marks?

Wonder if the laser would do the drilling, just program in some small circles and a bunch of passes on each one.
Probably take a really long time 🤠
Nice job Jim! A cribbage board really needs to be able to store pegs and cards.
Nicely done!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

great board jim. love the storage compartment.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Nice work, finely crafted.
Nice board Jim, you had me at turquoise fill. Is having the storage different for one of these? I don't play, so not familiar.
GR8 JOB 😍😎👍

Nice!  Guessing this will be a great item for the craft show.
Thank you all for the nice comments !!

Hi Bruce. It is actually a stack of 3 boards to get the thickness I needed for the drawer. I had a friend burn that pattern is a piece of wood before I had my laser. I transferred it to a 1/8" steel plate and that is my template. The tray slot is straight and the magnets hold the drawer in nice and solid.

Hi George. the storage is nice to keep it all together when you want a game. No hunting for the cards or pegs. It makes a need for a thick board, though!!
