This is a quilted wall hanging, in a pattern called "Carpenter's Star", with appliquéd gold to represent inlay. The fleurs-de-lis are a nod to the family coat of arms. My Xmas present from the wife.

My wife is the envy of her fellow quilters. Splint, the Tiff lamp is going in the carving "studio", so of little benefit to the wife. I'm going to get her to a local lamp store after I get my hair cut tomorrow morning. Funnily enough, she asked me about the two cloth patterns that looked like wood, and I didn't tumble to the fact that it could have been for me. Never expected that,,,

Thanks, folks! I'll pass the praise on to the wife. Didn't get my hair cut, or go to the lamp place. A friend called and I ended up hanging out for a few hours. Maybe next week.
