Red Oak Side Table

Built a table to run down one side of the carving area. It's 91-1/2" X 13" X 5/4, with dimensional lumber 1" X 4" apron and 2" X 2" legs. It wasn't much fun to build, given the small usable space in my "shop". Hard to work around. I had to stand on a step stool for the pic, and even though I moved the carving bench, I still got a corner of it in the pic, and missed the right rear corner. Mixed some Minwax stain to match the desk it sits next to. Fuzzy pic, as usual. I'm not too steady standing on a ladder these days.

Looks like a great match and fits nicely in the spot.
Yeah, I know what you mean about building large projects in a small space. I fight that constantly in my 320sqft shop. But, you got it done. It looks good and provides lots of usable, handy work top surface. Nicely done. Good job...
Nice table - a fuzzy picture with no injuries is just fine!!
pic's not great but table is. i did an 8' long table for my neighbor once to put behind his couch. i know what you mean.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Thanks, folks! The background is a piece of paneling from Lowe's with a fairly pronounced grain, not quite as strong as ash. I really need to improve my photo taking skills.

Made to fit your space, can't argue that!

Echoing Steve's comments, safety rules!
Nice table.   Works for what it was needed for.
