I carved this walking cane for a commission, in African Zebrawood. The face image was designed to represent Geronimo, the famous Native American Indian Chief. The handle is burled Camphor wood with a stone cabachon inlay. The necklace carved on the Chief’s bust is an inlay of turquoise. I have built many walking canes over the years, and this remains one of my favorites.
I’m trying to figure out why the photos are right-side up on my computer, but when I post them they are turned sideways. As soon as I can figure out what I’m doing wrong, I’ll get them corrected, sorry for the inconvenience.
If you are looking for custom made walking canes, I usually have some examples for sale in my Etsy.com Store
Most of my walking cane work these days is performed exclusively on commissioned orders, and the wait time is about 24 months currently.
