From a jigsaw puzzle of offcuts to a beautiful chopping board which is a THANK YOU GIFT to Dean and Frances at Living Timber in Penrith for their support of the local woodworking community as they celebrate 10 years in business.

It’s been polished with Kustom Grit step#1 and step#2 Food Grade Polish and put together Titebond 3 and Starbond Medium CA; both from Living Timber, my local supplier.

The chopping board is heavy Aussie Hardwood and almost 20" [500mm] long by 10" [250mm] wide & 1.5" [38mm] thick.

Gorgeous “Grey Iron Bark” offcuts from Dean’s free offcuts bin, thank you

All the pieces/offcuts were biscuited (sides & ends) and glued with titebond 3, even the two end pieces were biscuited.

Someone will be smiling when they get this little beauty. Nice work Peter.

Kerry - Working with wood, the smell the feel, is such a joy, its a meditation of sorts.

A beautiful gift that will long be cherished.  The match of the wood pieces and the color melding is terrific.  Terrific work and use of all those cut offs we collect.  Ya done good, Crowie.

Thanks for the added info. I may try something like this as I really like the look and would be a great way to put my "leftovers" to good use.
