Wind Chime Stand

I bought a Japanese wind chime last year and I finally made a stand for it.

It's supposed to be a summer seasonal thing so it's late but anyways, it's ready for the next summer and I made it as a knockdown kit so I can put them in a box to put away (well, it's a gift for my grandpa).

The wood for the base is Japanese cherry that my friend gave me and I'm happy that I finally utilized it.

It was fun little project.

Very well designed. I like how it can be broken down and still have a strong but thoughtful way to build it back.

Lovely, very good design, build and function!    Good use of the wood..

Ron

Nice. I'll check out the video - always enjoy hearing you explain the build process.
Cool! But I really couldn't hear the sound it makes.

Nicely done

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Elegant piece!

Of course near where I live the base would have to be a bit wider.
Needs to hold some sandbags so it wont get blown away!
James, Thank you! With available pieces of wood, it was the thing and it took a long time to design.

Ron, Thank you! Yes, the wood was good so I had to make it shine!

BB1, Thank you! This time, I didn't explain my process much in the video.

DL,  Thank you. Did you know a picture can't sound, haha! Well, when I tried to record the sound outside, I realized there's a lot of background noise from small planes, speeding cars, and a fire station near me and I kind of gave up.

Thank you, Ryan!

Splinter, thank you! I was originally going to put a metal weight on it, but it actually held up fine in the strong wind. It'll be just sitting by a window inside a house so it won't have any problems:)
