Odd add on project

Daughter ask for this upgrade to a previous item I made for her.    It is made of Ambrosia Maple.
The design is original and maybe not the best but got it done for her.

The following dimensions of the 3 boards are in vara,
All bords are 0.015151 thick.   The top bord with the holes and slots is 0.637848 long by 0.090909 wide.
the shorter board is .0.325757 long and 0.075757 wide.   the last board is 0.637848 long and 0.075757 wide.
36 inches = 1.090906 vara
These dimensions again are in vara. an old Spanish measuring system.
Did not want the Duck to be tasked with Imperial and I did not want to use Metric.
Went searching for something fun to post and found vara.

The finish is 3 coats of poly, buffed out smooth.

Now the question is what is this device and what is it used for?
Want to take a guess?
Solution in the next project post and Imperial dimensions. Sorry Ducky no metric.

🤣

Ok, based on your previous works, gotta call it a noodle holder 🤔
Tie an end into the cooked noodle so it won't slip through the slot and it allows for the noodle to drip dry.
Amiright???

Gotta say, pure genius  Ron!
Whowouldathunk that was possible, or even a thing?
Hi Ron. Is it some kind of thread or yarn dispenser? Reminds me of the show “What’s my line.”

James McIntyre

See the yarn box post yo see how it is used.

Ron

Can't provide a guess, but me thinks Mr. McIntyre let the cat outta da bag.
Surprised no one commented on the measuring system.

Ron

I agree, it looks like something to dispense yarn.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Designed to measure the yarn diameter for different projects?
Yarn guide is my guess after peeking.

Answer as to use in yarn box post.   Thanks for the interest.

My first and last use of Vara measurements.    Anyone use Vara?

Ron

I would have guessed some kind of utensil holder.  It has to be for yarn, mabe to orgainize different colors of yarn into whatever is being made.
