Yarn box for daughter

Made this project some time ago.   9/22, posted elsewhere, but now here.
She ask for a yarn box that would hold large skeins of yarn and dispense them easily.
The box is of Ambrosia Maple with 5 coats of poly, rubbed out and buffed smooth.
Box is 9" x 7' x 7"  3/8" thick.   Bottom is 1/8" Baltic Birch Ply.
Staggered box joint on the corners  cut on the router with Incra Jig.   Laser was used to etch in
the yarn balls and needles.    The upper two holes in the end pieces are for knitting needles
that bass through and into the yarn skein to keep things in order when not being used.
Handle on the back for carrying and the J slot in the front for the yarn to come out.

Earlier posts had the uggrade for this box.   A 6 yarn dispensing method.   Have no idea what
the daughter will make using up to 6 different yarns at the same timel

The device simply straddles the front or back of the box allowing up to 6 strands of yarn
to be dispensed at the same time.

The add on is 11 1/2 " wide by 3" deep and 3" tall in Imperial measurements.    No vara  here.
10 brass screws, 3 boards all Ambrosia Maple.  3 coats of poly.

yeah i remember this one. nice add on ron. glad you showed it right away because i had no guess even.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

Still think it could be an excellent noodle dryer, but repurposing for yarn is ok I guess....
Real nice yarn box!!!

Likewise, I still think it could be a screwdriver holder! Nice holder and an interesting upgrade.
Holes are only .25 inches have to be small screw drivers.
Thanks for the comments.

Nice project! I hope my wife doesn't see it, I have enough to do.

So nicely done! The laser definitely adds an extra special feature.
The entire setup is pure catnip, a box and bonus, full of yarn! I realize the ability to select different yarns probably makes the knitting project ever more enjoyable.

Ditto... 987 still spinning the same yarn.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
