Lazy Susan

This is a project  for a fellow crafter from the craft show last week. She wanted her logo and a lotus flower on the top of a lazy Susan with walnut on the   12"  top plate and maple on the bottom 14 1/2"  one. This has  a 6" bearing that is embedded half the  thickness into the top plate.
It is finished with clear satin lacquer.

Beautiful looking finish Jim!

What process did you use for the logo?

Bit slack JJ, ditto for both statements.

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Awesome Jim...well done...

Thank you all for the nice comments. I put the logo and the flower in with my CNC laser and painted in the lettering. She wanted purple originally but I tried it on a sample and it did not show up well at  all

Lasering/CNCing is cool, however, painting must have been a PITA... I'm guessing you didn't flood and sand back.  What depth?
Would have suggested Aqua Coat,

to seal pores (against) and Timbermate (or similar) to backfill... would leave a perfectly smooth top.

Still looks bloody good ASIS!

Very nice Jim. As prior mentioned by others, fantastic finish - a real beauty,  and I think LBD was spot on with the engrave - paint - sand.
Thanks, Tom.

Hi Alex. I was about .045" deep and spray sealed it and then painted it and wet sanded off the excess. It was not flooded but that would have been better.
