Local Agriculture Show Craft Entry - Wooden Toys Made by Hand

I put two lots of two of my handmade wooden toys in the Hawkesbury Agriculture Show  craft competition.
The competition display wasn’t very big but some nice work with some beautiful timbers.
I was fortunate enough to again win a second prize ribbon for my "Earth-moving" entry of the Bull Dozer and the Excavator.
The other entry of the Ford Model "T" and the Ford T-Bucket HotRod which I called from "Model T to T Bucket" missed out.
Saying they missed out on a prize is disappointing but they will both be given to a young boy you'd recently had surgery to cheer him up.
The show seemed very busy the day I attended with lots and lots of people, so I was only there a very short time as I don't cope with crowds plus my body doesn't cope very well at all either

Amazing!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Mighty nice work, and the boy will love both!

I meant Crowie.

You do really beautiful work.

I agree with Caroline, those toys to cheer the youngster post surgery is a definite win, and congrats on your ribbon for 2nd. Nice collection of toys there.

Is your community more rural, and farm based? Reason I ask is our home before this one we were rural, and the county is not a very big, or populated one, and entries for wooden toys and especially farm equipment are huge in number. While the county Dayton (Montgomery county is heavily populated) is in doesn't even have a place to enter something made of wood.
The Greater Sydney Basin stretches from the Central Coast in the north to Woolongong in the south and west to the Blue Mountains.
The Blue Mountains whilst a well known tourist destination doesn’t have much farming or rural areas but in the Hawkesbury region there are still many small acreage farms. Hawkesbury was originally one of Sydney’s food production areas and the Hawkesbury Show has always been a local feature.
