Cherry Cane
A lady ordered a personalized cane so I made this one with her name engraved on it and an image of one of her dogs. The shaft is cherry with a rubber tip on the bottom. The handle is made from maple. I added a shot of turning the base of the handle to fit the shaft........ can't drink beer when turning that!! It is 33 1/2" long and finished with Danish oil and 3 stage buffed and waxed.

Nice cane! I don't even use hand tools once I crack open a beer. The carving tools would have me bleeding, even sober.

nice cane jim. that pic of the lathe work though would scare the crap outta me 😬

Is there an ejectable pickup prong on the end

Alternatively put a magnet on the end and feed the dog lots of iron tablets.
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
