While I was battling the crappy wood I chose for my ATF Facelift (morphing my All Tetra Pod Puzzle from MDF to solids), out of frustration I took long breaks to stretch my imagination in draft this blog.
Was surprised to see I had only a few happy snaps, so I will resort to that band,
and Keep It Simple Stupid.
As with many of my other puzzles, came across this from Puzzle Master (OOOPS, there goes my secret), and where possible checked out the solution, reverse engineered and plagiarised it into SketchUp with a step by step solution (exported into an A4 PDF.. cblow).
Have no idea why the name other than I’ll adhere to the creator’s moniker for fear of copyright litigation… and/or an equivalent Coventry from SWMBO.
This is a relatively difficult puzzle with a 9 out of 10 degree of difficulty, but only because a lot of moves have to be done hidden inside the box.
The solutions... seeing as how we've started revealing manly chests... those PDFs I continually harp on about,
has this hint on the second page,
The puzzle box measures 65mm x 65mm x 65mm, based on 3 x 18mm³ cubes' width, and made out of merbau decking... laser cut. The pieces are 18mm³ cubes made out of pine. The extra size is taken up by the wood thickness and some wiggle room inside.
I create my laser jobs in CorelDraw, however, for anyone interested I can make the CorelDrawCDR file available… it can be read/processed by freebie Inkscape to create SVG files to be processed by laser programs like Lightburn.
For any 3D printer enthusiast, I could make the STL files available on request… just tell me how you’d like them presented.
If interested in any of mine (LBD), measurements can be made available on request for anyone not familiar with SketchUp… though a working knowledge of SketchUp’s navigation (as opposed to its design/use features) and access to 3DW could be of benefit.
All the solutions to my puzzles can be found at this link... *** Measurements and further details can be provided on request. ***
If no other time, when Christmas comes, puzzles make a great stocking stuffer... for all ages. Kids love ‘em and most of us are still kids.
Don’t be crafty Craftisians,... SHARE your craft!
Christmas is coming and puzzles make a great stocking stuffer... for all ages.
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Dedication is forever appreciated... donation is verbotten!
Everyone appreciates their 1st. bowl, but what the hell will they use the other four for? You may be lucky, but I don't have that many friends to bowl over... even in our land of cricket... the sport, not the LJ ones.

While bowls are functional, Alex’s puzzle are food for the brain. Doing puzzles as one gets older keeps the mind sharp! I’m pretty much in awe of the way LBD reverse engineers the puzzles then makes them, well done “ducky”!
Just reading LBD puzzle posts is food for the brain! I may not be at the point to try making one (yet), but I sure know where to go for the info and detailed instructions. As the Norm would say, "a complete measured drawing is available"
