Casino, Indigenous wall Art Collaboration
An indigenous artist designed the metal Eagle (large circle) and the salmon. Another shop cut them out. I made all of the cedar components, designed and made the hanging hardware as well as the waves. Two very similar art pieces, each about 13' long (The circles are 4-12" thick (2 layers) x 54" across. There are three different elevations

Cool! It has to be nice to see your work on display like that.
Having just driven through Oklahoma a few weeks ago, and stopped at several of the American Indian tribes resource, and educational centers along our route I can relate. I agree with Steve it would be a boost any time you saw it.

Thanks everyone. Yes, it is great having pieces around town. In my home town I currently have 3 public art pieces as well as the Visitors Center (millwork) and a high end restaurant/ bar (all in town) which are great as I send clients on a tour when they want to see pieces in person. I usually have 1-2 pieces on the waterfront as well (through the temporary art program) but I haven't had a successful submission there in the past few years

I actually just had three jobs fall through and I'm wondering if I should consider doing something else as work has always been a bit of a roller coaster and I am getting tired of living paycheck to paycheck

I think with your talents you could sell any of your work.
How are the galleries in your area? Seems smaller pieces would fit right in and you get the traffic.

Art is a difficult living.
Having just visited Napa Valley wineries, seeing the different business models....A few have gone direct to end users (hard to find that audience) or many make great wine for the high end, while also producing a drinkable wine for a wider audience (that pays the bills).
I hope you find the right mix for you. I really like your work!
Consider a digital marketing company to get you more exposure?

Thanks. I'm in some small galleries but not selling a lot. It's usually larger pieces that keep me going and I make small stuff to fill the gaps. I haven't tried a digital marketing company. It's been all word of mouth and public art pieces and work from a few different contractors
