Beerbq Swap 2026

Ok here is my beerbq swap project for 2026. My swap buddy was JD77 (joe). I made him a set of bbq tools with cocobolo handles. The kit was from Penn State Industries. I highly recommend it for high quality. Then not being content with just that i thought, why not a tool box to put them in. The box is made from Padauk and Bubinga. The tray is made from alder. Bottoms are lined with rubber shelf liner. The handle on the tray is wrapped with paracord. To give it that old style tool box look i added faux rivets. Latches, hinge and handle all came from Amazon. There are rubber bumpers on the bottom. The lettering on the box was routed out with Rocklers sign making kit then filled with black epoxy. The main part of the swap of course is the beers ! I also sent him a bottle of sauce from the now defunct DEPOT restaurant. Also included some of Kinders seasonings, my favorite brand.
here are a few build pic's.
Ill just say this was a fantastic swap and a lot of fun. So if youve never done one i encourage you to get in next year. and those that have and skipped this one get you asses back next year. Now time for some beer !
