Where do I start..lol

I’ve been building this cabinet since Aug. It’s made of Ash mostly, Oak, some Maple and some Hickory. It will hold 33 rifles and over 4 hand guns. It’s 7’ tall and 5’ wide and 30" deep. The drawers on the bottom hold shells and behind the drawer’s with the felt for hand guns also holds shells etc. Every drawer and door has skeleton key locks and also inside I have rings attached for aircraft cable wire to hook through the rifles for extra security. I’ve put countless of hours and I’ve learned so much building this cabinet.

nice work I love the prison bar effect

That’s a “big” build. I like the molding.

Well done.

I can see that you have put a lot of work into the cabinet . I like the way you used the bars. You can see the guns but they are still secure . Very nice work

Sheri,

You did an outstanding job on the gun cabinet. The “bars” are such a good idea . . . it will be so much safer than glass.

Thank you, I really like the bar look. The customer came up with the bar thought so I had to figure how to make it look decent without looking tacky. Yes, that’s why you haven’t heard from me. Some days I started working on it from the moment the kids got on the bus till 3:00 am trying to get it done. I think the hardest part was fitting the drawers with side slides I’ve never done drawers before. I’ve learved a ton working with hard wood for the first time as well. Let’s just say many broken bits and I caught on that pocket kreg screws worked the best.

I really like how you integrated the metal bars.

Love the overall design – different woods, metal, moldings, etc. ! Very well done.

Sheri,

This is by far the most attractive gun cabinet I have ever seen.

This is one large gun cabinet, you did a wonderful job Sheri.

I love it. If I had seen this years ago, I would likely be in possession of something similar to it within my game-room. I have always wanted to display my rifles; but none of the cabinets I have seen appealed to me. This one is more what I have in mind due to its safeness & masculine beefy look. My plan is to have one with bars built-in to a corner whereby it will be approximately 57" across & approximately 36" deep (center). I know it sounds wide; but, I want it to be symmetric with the angles of the corner on the same wall. I also want to hang the weapons vertically. Yours is beautiful! Hope I can get someone to build me one close to its look.
