Pams 50 Birthday Shield

This is the second project my son asked me to help him make
Again we spent a couple of days working to get the basic shape finalised
Construction:-

Is Laminated MDF for the shield and single sheet for the stand.
We used a caul I had made for curving lainnated strips of wood for a tray.
Simply a matter of glueing up two layers of MDF and let it set, them fitting a cross afterwards.
Once this was complete the areas for letters and numbers were masked up and the shield painted.

The letters and numbers were painted individually then attached.
Letters and numbers were again MDF
A final coat of clear finish and we were done.
Some way to display the shield was needed so a small stand was made and painted matt with no clear finish
