This bowl is to prevent the yarn ball from running away. The open long slot enable the knitter to change the project half way without cutting the yarn while the small hole can be used for another job. The idea was taken from a ceramic yarn bowl.

THE TIME YOU ENJOY WASTING IS NOT WASTED TIME.

It’s beautiful but maybe obsolete. Is yarn even sold in balls anymore? I never saw my mom with balls of yarn.
