Yearly, i donate a project to help a charity. The theme is always heart oriented. This year, I found an amazing chunk of silver maple wood. What made me happy about this was I was able to carve it and off set it to float over the base. I used a huge drill bit to bore into this to make it a lamp.
When this is on, it throws a heart against the wall, as shown at the exhibit. This was a very highly sought after piece at the charity event and raised a lot of money for the charity.

A lamp. … what???!!!
The wood, itself, is beautiful, and then you work your magic on it!! Wow.
And, kudos, for your donations for fundraisers!
Now, for the lamp, is it battery-operated or did you wire it? Big drill bit … and ?

I have a super long drill bit! Believe me that bit got hot! You could feel the heat through the wood as i drilled. The bit is at least 12" long. It is wired, I photoshopped the cord out of it. The light inside is LED, so never should need changing, but as you see from the photo of the back, you can simply unscrew it and change it out. The wood was absolutely amazing, but seemed like it needed something to push it over the “top” and get more money for the charity. Thanks for your question!
