I love little boxes and baskets to hold some of my sewing, leather or painting supplies. They keep my work area tidy – well sort of! This basket was inspired by a pattern by Steve Good . The Celtic tree of life decoration on the front is from a pattern by Sheila Landry Designs. I cut the basket from mahogany, one of my favourite woods to scroll saw.
Thank you for looking.

Anna,
What a lovely basket!

That is a lot of intricate work!!
The Tree of Life was a surprise and is a beautiful adornment to the box.
How many hours of love did you put into this?

Showed this to my wife, and pointed out all that you had to do to make this beautiful piece of artwork. The hours you had to put into this. The concentration and attention to detail. The constant need to disconnect and connect the blade each time you entered a new hole. And the sanding! You must have the patience of 5 saints, and don’t drink anywhere near as much coffee as I do. Brava!
…or five druids. ;)
Love it, I think it looks beautiful! Love the details you put into it!
@retired_guru_tech – you are a poet at heart, I think

@MsDebbieP : Ah, well…I have been accused of wordsmithing, from time to time. ;)
Thanks.
Thank you all for your kind comments. I don’t know how many hours I put into making this. I don’t track my time. I just enjoy the process!
