Toddler Scarf-Hood

I bought a lot of this beautiful bulky, soft yarn .. and I made a “Sc-ood” for myself …

… next, I thought I’d try one for my granddaughter (who turns one in a couple of weeks).

Hook: Size 15
The pattern is just a big hoop…. 33 sc around; and 25 rows.
I then made a tie as an option… chain 13 and sc back to the start. finish off; attach a button. (this one is another from my Mother’s (granddaughter’s great-grandmother’s) “vintage/antique” button stash).

EDIT: I initially had 19 rows but when the wee one tried it on it didn’t cover the back of her neck. So I added more rows (total of 25) and it fits beautifully, looks wonderful and will keep her toasty warm this winter.. and for years to come, as it will go over my head.
