Miss Mia ~ Flip Doll

Topsy-Turvy, Flip Doll, Yinyang … a 2-in-1 doll by any other name is still a wonderful doll!

I made this for my Granddaughter’s first birthday. I wanted to make her an educational toy and this, along with the dramatic play value, will also be great for developing muscles needed to flip the dress over, as well as the problem-solving skills to figure out how to do it!

Pattern: I used this pattern to create my version.

I chose not to add facial features as the sleepy face, sad face, happy face etc can limit the play.
I might still add some hair but not sure on that yet. “Keep it simple” is always a great idea. Maybe when my granddaughter gets older she will come up with her own ideas as to how to add her hair and other features.

I think I made the grey dress a bit longer than the purple — which worked out great. Now the skirt tends to flip up a bit at the bottom, when in the purple-dress mode.

The yarn is leftovers from other projects
