No Place Like Gnome

Tada!

This all began with the pre-lit Christmas tree that I purchased a couple of weeks ago.
Just a few days after setting it up, I found a set of gnomes at Costco that seemed to be a perfect match for the tree.

Next came the urge to pick up my crochet hooks again, after several years!!
After 24 hours of rekindling the muscle memory of #TunisianCrochet the afghan began to unfold and, then, I had the brilliant idea to match the afghan to the dress on the gnome!!

I, then, designed the pattern and had the graph created using an online site.

I was using yarn from my stash and half-way through, I ran out of grey and had to resort to using new yarn which doesn’t quite match – if you look at it with a camera flash. Regular light? It is good.

I would have liked the afghan to be just a few more inches long but I came to the end of the skein and compromised.

It took me about a week to crochet and I’m very happy with it.

Thanks, Celticscroller… although I can’t really take credit as I was using the gnome’s apron as the basis of the pattern
