I have one daughter that is not very safe with knifes so this knife made from jatoba with a hollow ground cutting edge should be fine for her and I also made a couple of cutting boards using jatoba,maple and hickory to go with it .
I gave it a test run on my lunch sandwich and it works great and no mark on the board either .

Bob the board is 10″×10″ x5/8" plus 4" handle and the knife is 14" x2 1/2" x1/2" .
