I’ve wanted to post some of my older projects for some time but I always seem to be busy so I guess the Christmas Giveaway is as good a reason as any to start posting a few. I have been entering a lily themed juried art show at the local pottery gallery “(Campbell Pottery)”http://www.campbellpotterystore.com/ since 2010 and this maple table was my first piece I did for the event. I had to stretch myself a little on a few aspects of this project but it was fun to make.I had never done curved edge banding or inlay. I had done marquetry before but the butterfly in the top corner was inlayed after the top was completed. This was also the first piece I had ever sold. I will most likely post the rest of the lily themed projects and with the limited time I spend in my shop it seemed like that was all I was doing for a time. Thanks for looking
